[312] Julia died of pnuemonia. Family letters indicate she was abused andlived with her older sons and daughter her last years. One letter saysher mattres and blankets were taken and she intended to make a newone. She died of pneumonia. She was buried in Pleasant View Cemeteryon Weld County road. She was very artistic leaving letters and poemssurrounded with flower drawings done with an ink pen and colored ink.Family information is that she was a descendant of the easterncherokee tribe. Most of those records have been lost so I have notbeen able to verify it as yet. If so, she may have been one eighthblood.
