DANIEL FISHER was born Abt. 1748, and died 12 Nov 1797 in Guilford Co, NC. He married MARGARET KRESS* 08 Apr 1774 in Philadelphia, PA. She was born in Guilford Co, NC.
(other sources list his birth date around 1750).

Moved to Guilford Co, NC. Will probated in Philadelphia (Another reliable source states Guilford Co, NC; I'm trying to locate a copy of this will so I can post it on-line). Another source says that wife's name may have been "sarah", but she died before 1797 as no mention of her was made in her will. I presume the name sarah comes from the first daughter listed in the will. Family history states that the line is from England.

Information from Norm Fisher

Notice to cousins .. I'm currently intending to develop individual pages for every person in this particular family tree (since it is my tree!). I maintain a FTM site under my entry (below), but am not satisfied with the format that that imposes on you. I want to be able to include family history .. pictures .. documents .. etc, and this just doesn't give one the flexibility to do so. Therefore I'm putting the effort into doing it myself. PLEASE send me information on your particular branches! The more information the better .. pictures, documents, historical literature, etc. Also, PLEASE correct any errors I have in the pages! I tend to be a good typist, but I fail to notice some pretty obvious things sometimes. I'm not going to be upset at all if you bring an error to my attention.

It may take months (or even years) to compile and format all the data that's available, but I do believe that this format will work and is more readable / useable than any I've come across yet. The FTM format lets you get lost VERY easily .. it takes forever to branch from generation to generation, and you can't go UP the generations nor to the siblings, so it's difficult to maintain your concept of who's related to whom. The ones on-line that allow the easy branching don't provide the information content that FTM starts to allow, and this method fully allows.

This is still a work in process .. I'm intending to make some kind of a header on each page aiding in navigation, with the lineage and the siblings all being clickable. For now, I've duplicated the lineage in the first descriptive paragraph on the person, and made that clickable.

I've now started working up a database format that will allow these pages to be generated all at once, and the additional information added over time. This will let me add specific information on given pages, and have all the factual details automatically generated. Note that it is a work in process .. I'm still adding to it, and have more ideas than I have time to develop immediately. Click here to see what I've got so far.
